![]() I think it’s worth giving AMC Dine In 8 a chance. As of last night 3 of the garage entries including 2 on Capitol were not available to access so you may need to research which entry is open. ![]() It was clear many of the frequent customers had been lost since the ownership change since we would normally wait in a line of 10 or so guests. We visited at 9:30 Saturday night and there was no one in line at the bar or concession stand and it was easy to find good seats online. There were a ton of different flavor options at the self serve soda machine, like ginger lime and cherry vanilla Diet Coke. My typically overpriced soda ($5.69 for a small) ended up being free because of points on my AMC Stubs account. Unlike the last visit, an ice bucket was provided upon request at the bar with the bottle of wine ordered. ![]() We found free street parking but I asked the ticket taker if they validate garage parking and he said they now do that. We were pleasantly surprised at changes made. I had sworn off this theater since the change to AMC but we ended up giving it another shot only because of a preferred showtime to see Molly’s Game, which was excellent. I would recommend this theatre for an upscale movie experience. We saw "Hidden Figures" about the first black women to gain importance and recognition at the NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia in the early 1960's. The movies are very good, and not just your typical action-packed, shoot-em-up/bang-em-up, gratuitous sex and violence types of movies. The menu may vary from time to time, but it's always good snack food. It's more like bar food with extra class: there are salads, flatbreads, and skewers. When you're done with the movie, there is very interesting dining fare. The best part is that you can take your alcoholic drinks with you into the theatre. Not only do they offer traditional movie theatre fare: popcorn, fountain drinks, and candy, but they have a real bar where they serve specialty drinks. There is parking for about $10.00 that will take you right to the entrance of the Theatre, which helps on a rainy day: it was raining when my wife and I went.Īnyway, when you enter the theatre, you feel like you're in the lobby of a hotel - it is nicely decorated with furniture of good taste. First, it is located downtown in the Theatre District where the Arts flourish.
